Who operates this service

Divorce Coach Live is operated by Gunn Law PLLC. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@talkdivorcecurious.com or write to Gunn Law PLLC, 9265 S Highland Dr., PO Box 900484, Sandy, UT 84093. Do not include sensitive case details in ordinary email.

Current service status

The public site offers live-call intake when the provider is available and may link to a separate Google booking page for appointments. Provider sign-in, video consultations, and Stripe payment processing are in use. Other features, including site-controlled scheduling and provider SMS alerts, may be unavailable while their setup or verification is pending. We will update this policy when a material new use of information begins.

Website and provider account information

Our hosting and security providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, and error records. Provider sign-in uses a secure session cookie. Google authorization uses a short-lived, secure cookie to verify the authorization response. These cookies are not used for advertising.

For private daily visitor totals, the homepage creates a random identifier that changes each Mountain Time day. Our database temporarily stores only its hash, the date, and whether that browser reached the homepage with utm_source=reddit—not a name, IP address, or browsing history—for these counts. Repeat homepage views in the same browser count once that day; a Reddit-tagged visitor is included in the total as well as the Reddit count. Provider-signed-in and opted-out browsers are excluded. These approximate counts are not shared publicly and are not used for ad targeting. Daily count tokens are removed by the scheduled cleanup after the following day, subject to normal service-provider backup retention. Day-by-day aggregate totals without browser identifiers are retained to show historical trends on the private dashboard.

Google Calendar connection

Only the service provider connects a Google account. Clients do not need to connect Google Calendar or give us access to their Google accounts.

We request permission to read availability on calendars the provider can access and permission to create secondary calendars and manage events on calendars created by this application. Google grants availability permission at the account-accessible-calendar level; our application restricts availability queries to the two provider-approved calendars.

The connection currently stores encrypted authorization tokens so the server can maintain authorized access without repeated sign-in. Scheduling will use calendar IDs and busy/free time intervals to prevent overlapping appointments, and will create, reschedule, or cancel consultation events only on an app-created consultation calendar. We do not request or read titles, descriptions, attendees, or attachments from the provider's existing personal-calendar events. Public visitors receive bookable times, not the provider's underlying calendar records or reasons for being busy.

Calendar information and tokens are processed by Google and by our hosting/database services, Vercel and Supabase, only as necessary to operate this connection and scheduling. We do not sell Google data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Our handling of Google API data will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.

The provider can revoke access through Google Account permissions at https://myaccount.google.com/connections and request removal of stored connection tokens by contacting the firm. Revocation prevents further authorized API access but does not automatically remove events already created in Google Calendar. A deletion request includes review of stored tokens and app-held calendar information; existing Google events are removed only as specifically requested and authorized.

Consultation information

Before a consultation, we collect the caller's and spouse's or ex-spouse's first and last names, a declaration that the caller is at least 18, and the information needed for Utah-residency confirmation, agreement acceptance, and conflict screening. We do not ask for birthdates in the live-call intake. Historical records submitted under the earlier form may still contain encrypted birthdates under the existing retention policy. Do not submit a narrative of your legal issue, documents, or images through intake. If the screening cannot proceed, we do not identify another person or disclose their information.

Video consultations use Zoom. Zoom processes participant audio/video and connection information to provide the meeting. Clients may join as guests without creating a Zoom account. We configure consultation recording, transcription, and AI summaries to be disabled. We cannot guarantee that a participant will not separately record with another device. Connection and attendance records may be used to verify waiting, connected, and disconnected intervals for billing; these records are distinct from recordings of the conversation.

Stripe processes card information and payment transactions; the website does not store raw card numbers. We may retain transaction identifiers, connected-time calculations, receipts, and charge/refund records. Appointment and service messages may use Postmark when enabled. Optional provider-only operational alerts may use Twilio after the provider opts in and the sender is verified. These alerts do not include client names, legal issues, conflict results, or payment information. See the provider SMS opt-in details, SMS terms, and SMS privacy notice.

Retention and deletion

Authorization tokens are retained while the calendar connection is needed, unless access is disconnected or removal is requested. Expired authorization-state records are temporary setup data, not client files.

Unconnected intake identity records are scheduled to expire after 24 hours and be removed by a daily deletion job. Removal is not instantaneous, and copies in service-provider backups may remain until their normal backup lifecycle ends. Connected-consultation conflict records, service records, and financial records may require longer retention for legal, professional, or accounting obligations. Contact the firm about a specific record or deletion request.

Sharing and safeguards

We share information with the service providers identified above only as needed for hosting, security, scheduling, communications, video, and payment services. We may also disclose information when lawfully required or necessary to address security incidents, subject to applicable professional duties. We do not sell personal information.

We use encrypted connections, restricted server-side access, and application encryption for sensitive database fields and authorization tokens. No system can guarantee absolute security. Ordinary email and communications sent outside the service may have different protections.

Requests and changes

Contact the firm to request access, correction, or deletion of information. We may verify identity before responding and explain any information that must be retained under applicable obligations. We do not promise deletion of legally required records or information controlled by another person or service. Material changes to Google-data access or use will require updated disclosures and renewed authorization when required.
